Knit, Crochet, Give – a few charities looking for your knit and crochet skills in 2013 – free patterns

>Baby Threads of New Hampshire  – baby sweater sets, hats, mittens, etc.

>Warm Up America – blankets and blanket squares

>Knit a Square – blanket squares and hats

>the Purple Stitch Project – make something purple for babies, teens and children with epilepsy

It can be difficult to find an up to date list online of charities needing your donated items – why not look for a need closer to home? The nearest shelter or veteran’s home, nursing homes and children’s services are all good places to contact. Visit the Salvation Army website and search by zip code to find a chapter in your area – they can tell you where your help is needed.
