Crochet for Spring – A Pretty Vest

WHITE MESH VEST





Cream-white vest is made the long way, in rows worked from top to bottom, all without seams. Not an easy pattern to crochet, but beautiful.

SIZES: Directions for small size (6-8) and medium size (10-12).
Note: Crochet hook and gauge determine size.

Body Bust Size: 30 1/2 “-31 1/2 “; 32 1/2″-34”.

Blocked Bust Size: 32″; 35″.

MATERIALS:

Knitting worsted, 6 ounces.
For size 6-8: Crochet hook size G.
For size 10-12: Crochet hook size I.
13 small buttons.

GAUGE: 2 mesh (ch 2, dc) = 1 /1/2″ (size G hook); 1 3/4″ (size I hook).

Note: Vest is worked vertically.





VEST: Beg at front edge, ch 51.
Row 1: DC in 4th ch from hook, dc in each of next 2 ch, * ch 6, sk next 6 ch, sc in each, of next 5 sc, ch 6, sk next 6 ch, dc in each of next 4 ch, repeat from * once, ch 2, sk next 2 ch, (dc, ch 2, tr) in last ch. Mark end of row for neck edge. Turn.
