Crochet Granny Squares – Daisy Tablecloth





SIZE: As shown, about 48″ by 48″.
Each flower square is about 4″ by 4″.





MATERIALS: Knit Cro-Sheen, 5 skeins yellow (A), 7 skeins white (B), 8 skeins green (C).
Steel crochet hook size 1, or size required to crochet to size.

FIRST FLOWER: With A, ch 4, join with sl st to form a ring.
Rnd 1: Work 10 sc in ring.
Rnd 2: Work 2 sc in each sc, sl st in first st.
Rnd 3: Ch 4 (to count as dc and ch-1), * dc in next st, ch 1, repeat from * around, sl st in 3rd st of ch-4—20 dc with ch-1 in between.
Rnd 4: Sl st in next ch-1 sp, ch 3, dc in same ch, * 2 dc in next ch, repeat from *, sl st in top of ch-3—40 dc. Cut A.
Rnd 5: * With B, sc between 2 dc, ch 5, sk 5 sts, repeat from * around, sl st in first sc—8 ch-5 Ips.
Rnd 6: Sl st in Ip, * ch 1, (sc, ch 1, hdc, ch 1, dc, ch 1, tr, ch 1, dbl tr, ch 1, 1 tr, ch 1, dc, ch 1, hdc, ch 1, sc, ch 1) in same Ip, sc in sc, repeat from * around, join.
CutB.
Rnd 7: Attach C to top of scallop, sc in same st, * ch 4, 1 dbl tr in sc between next scallops, ch 5, (1 dc, ch 2, 1 dc) in the top of next scallop (corner made), ch 5, 1 dbl tr between next scallops, ch 4, sc in top of next scallop, repeat from *, end sl st to join.
Rnd 8: Sc in sl st, * ch 3, 4 sc in Ip, sc in dbl tr, ch 3, 5 sc in Ip, ch 3, (1 sc, ch 7, 1 sc) in Ip between dc on corner (corner made), ch 3, 5 sc in Ip, sc in dbl tr, ch 3, 4 sc in Ip, sc in sc, repeat from *, sl st in sc. Fasten off.

SECOND AND ALL REMAINING FLOWERS: Work same as first flower Rnds 1 through 7.

Joining: Continue with Rnd 8, completing 5 sc before second corner, ch 3, sc in corner of same flower, ch 3, sc to ch-7 Ip of first flower, ch 3, sc in corner Ip of second flower, ch 1, sc in next ch-3 Ip of first flower, ch 1, 5 sc in next ch-5 Ip of second flower, ch 1, sc in next ch-3 Ip of first flower, ch 1, 4 sc in next ch-4 Ip of second second flower, ch 1, sc in ch-3 Ip of first flower, ch 1, 4 sc in Ip of second flower, ch 1, sc in ch-3 Ip of first flower, ch 1, 5 sc in next Ip of second flower, ch 1, sc in ch-3 Ip of first flower, ch 1, sc in corner Ip of second flower, ch 3, sc to ch-7 Ip of first flower, ch 3, sc to corner of second flower, ch 3, complete as before.

Continue in this manner, working (ch 1, sc, ch 1) in each ch-3 Ip and (ch 3. sc, ch 3) in each ch-7 Ip of previous squares, working corner sc in previous sc joining ch-7 Ips.
Continue to crochet the flowers together in this manner until you have joined 12 rows of 12 flowers each.
