39 x 58 Inches (including fringe)

Materials: RUG COTTON, 60 balls of Tulip Yellow . . . Steel Crochet Hook Size G.
(before you begin, see note about materials)

Starting at center, make a chain 18 inches long (3 ch sts to 1 inch).

1st row: Sc in 2nd ch from hook and in each ch across, 3 sc in last ch; now, working along opposite side of starting chain, make sc in each ch across, 2 sc in same ch as first sc was made. Hereafter work over 10 strands of Rug Cotton.

2nd row: 2 sc in next sc (1 sc increased), sc in each sc to within the 3-sc group, 2 sc in each of next
3 sc (3 more sc increased), sc in each sc, 2 sc in last 2 sc (2 more sc increased)—6 sc increased in all.

Working over 10 strands as before, make sc in each sc around, increasing as necessary at ends of oval to keep work flat until piece measures 33 x 52 inches. Break off.

FRINGE … Cut 6 strands, each 8 inches long. Double these strands to form a loop. Insert hook through an sc and draw loop through. Draw loose ends through loop and pull up tightly. Make fringe in this manner in each sc around. Trim ends evenly.
